Current economic condition is not really good, even already 2 years after Covid-19 spread. It seems so hard to get a job since many companies tighten the belt to save their money. But it is not over, since something worse is happening. It is called layoff and make so many people frustrated after getting layoff.

None expected to getting layoff by the company but the fact says so. It looks so hard to face for everybody. Since the economic doesn’t get better, they lost their job and have no idea about what to do next. Seems a nightmare that never end.

Imagine to lose job while having good performance and never complaint? To be honest, Startup as the most companies who did layoff to their employees. Perhaps because of lack of funding or want to change all strategy from the beginning. The decision has been made and none can avoid.

Layoff can happen anytime and anywhere

Actually it is normal to be frustrated, sad and disappointed by getting layoff, but however they should give up and do the best. Perhaps after mourning fate for a week or a month, they should fix all and none can do expect themselves.

The best thing to do is to accept anything happened. Don’t forget to be thankful since still gaining severance pay after getting layoff, even though it is only for several months. On this case, please never blame anyone including ex-company since they already to make the best decision.

Afterwards, it is time to learn something new and to apply again for another job. No guarantee to get a new job soon, but at least already try to apply so it will open new opportunity.

When try applying for new job, don’t forget to update resume and add new skill to make it more interesting. Hopefully a new job will come and everything is gonna be okay.

However, none can avoid it. Getting layoff is something never expected and none wants, but it can happen anywhere, anytime and to anyone.

Remember, getting layoff is just only something happens and it may occur again one day. Don’t be afraid for something that always happen. Be brave.

So, for someone who getting layoff, please get up, update resume, do new skill and get new job soon. While for anybody who still survive from layoff, keep doing the best. Get the best performance and never give up again.

Be strong since life must go on!
