Working is something to do for life. This activity of course provides happiness and comfortability for some of them. But there are also people feel stuck at work and have no idea about what should be done next. They have no more intention to give more. Does it mean that you should change career path for better future?
When you feel uncomfortable anymore in the place where you work, perhaps you need to find something new. Get a new job can be a choice but another one could be staying on your area since you can consult with your supervisor or manager about it. The great leader always give the best solution for any problem. Probably you change your career path in the same area, just in different field. From department A to department B, for instance.
Find new job?
If you totally feel bad and nothing can get your mood back for working, then you may get new job. Asking for friends or apply in job vacancy should be applied often since you need that one. Not only one application, but more is better. Because no guarantee you will be accepted in the first place you apply.
But remember, you have to get a job first before resigning from current place. It means you can change career path from company A to company B well without regret. As you know at this pandemic, so many people regret because they choose to quit the job before gaining the new one.
Have a conversation with the leader
It is probably good thing to do. You feel stuck but you actually want to spend more time in the company as you enjoy the culture. Then you may ask for your leader to give you some advices. Have a deep conversation after working hour could be good activity to choose. Perhaps moving from division A to division B gives you the best solution as you can change career path well and without something complicated.
Before deciding to choose, it is better for you to think deeply. Ask for yourself, are you okay to move? will you give the best performance later?
For the future, changing career path is normally to do. You may choose finding new job or stay here by asking new position in different field. Both are your choice.
